Description

Castor oil is a vegetable oil obtained by pressing the seeds of the Castor plant (Ricinus communis).

Physical Appearance & Properties: Castor oil is a colourless to very pale yellow liquid with a distinct taste and odour once first ingested.

Castor oil and its derivatives find uses in agriculture, cosmetics, electronics & telecommunications, food, lubricants, paints, inks and adhesives, paper, perfumeries, pharmaceuticals, plastics and rubber, and textile chemicals.
